I don’t expect anyone to be impressed with what I’m about to say, but… it’s my blog, so… deal with it.
I’ve successfully been able to get Aimee to sleep and lay her down in her crib without immediately waking her up.
I love it. At first, she looks at me, as if to say “whoa whoa whoa, Miss Lippy, you are NOT my mother… what are you DOING?” But I just calmly hold her, sing to her, and she slowly relaxes, falls asleep in my arms…
I’m gonna go out on a limb here: she likes me. And it’s mutual. I like her, too.
why wouldnt anyone like that? thats good stuff right there. (it’d be better if you wrestled a bear at the end though)
The fact that you inserted “Miss Lippy” into Aimee’s imagined thoughts just cracked me up! That just means YOU internally think Miss Lippy, not your baby girl. Furthermore, I think Aimee would call you “Mister” Lippy in her head…you’re her daddy, not her mommy…
